The most popular dermal fillers, the Juvederm family, Restylane and Perlane, have been found to last 9 months to one year. Many clients who have had treatments with these hyaluronic acid dermal fillers have found they require less filler and less frequently. This is a result of the dermal filler stimulating the the body’s production of new collagen, which has been proven in multiple clinical studies.

There are multiple approaches to stimulating new collagen growth including but not limited to topical skincare, chemical peeling, dermal fillers and laser.

I have several problems w/my skin including redness, lots of pigment and sun damage (just really uneven skin) as well as just plain getting older and wanting to get rid of some wrinkles I’m seeing.

Do you have any treatments that would address these issues for me?

We have quite a few different options that will address the issues you are experiencing with your skin. The first treatment that comes to mind is one that we’ve been seeing amazing results with and is a 4 pass treatment that addresses all of the issues you mentioned above. The first pass uses a unique filter that targets redness and helps reduce the appearance of redness and fine broken capillaries (telangiectasias). The second pass uses a different filter that targets hyperpigmentation such as age spots and sun damage. It pulls the pigment to the surface, which then sloughs off in about a week leaving you with less visible hyperpigmentation and a more even skin tone. The third passes uses yet another filter that stimulates the dermal (living) layer of the skin resulting in the production of collagen and elastin. The 4th pass uses our SkinTyte™ filter, which is specifically designed to penetrate deeper and allow for even more collagen and elastin production as well as skin tightening and reducing the appearance of “sagging skin.”

With our 4 pass skin correction treatment you should allow yourself about 4-7 days of “downtime”, meaning that you will most likely have a bit of redness and swelling that can last a few days as well as excess pigmentation that can take some time to slough off. Every person and their skin is completely unique, so “downtime” varies depending on the amount of redness and/or hyperpigmentation as well as the patient’s regular skin care and treatment routine. Patients that have aggressive home care routines and/or regularly receive skin resurfacing or “photofacial” treatments tend to have less downtime than others.

If you are not wanting to as much downtime we have several other treatment and home care options that can help address your concerns as well as offering each of the individual passes as treatments themselves.

Post treatment care and maintenance is also something we are very passionate about. Whenever you are doing a resurfacing treatment or trying to rid your skin of unwanted pigmentation daily sunscreen is a must, as well as avoiding UVA/UVB exposure as much as possible.
