Potential Side Effects:  

Discomfort is minimal and brief.  Most patients experience few side effects. Temporary and mild side effects that may occur include a dull headache and slight bruising at the injection site. Discontinuing anti-inflammatory medications, such as aspirin and ibuprofen, St. John’s Wort, ginko, fish oil and high doses of Vitamin E several days prior to the procedure will reduce the chances of bruising.

Contraindications: 

Medical conditions that may disqualify a patient include pregnancy, breastfeeding and neuromuscular diseases.
