Le Celle utilizes an innovative technology called broadband light (BBL) that safely and effectively treats a wide variety of skin conditions. BBL can treat fine lines, age spots, sun spots, small facial veins (telangiectasias), the redness and flushing of rosacea, large pores, hyperpigmentation (freckles, birth marks, brown spots), port wine stains, and poikiloderma. Different filters are used to target the light energy to the problem area at varying depths and colors. A series of 2-6 treatments is recommended, depending on the color and condition of the skin.
What do the treatments feel like during and after the treatment ?Discomfort is minimal and brief. The sapphire handpiece in contact with the skin provides cooling throughout the treatment. A brief, rubberband-like snap will be felt when the pulse of light is delivered. You will feel a warm, flushed sensation and there will be slight redness to the skin following the treatment. This sensation may last for hours. With photo-damaged skin you will see a darkening of the sun spots, followed by a sloughing of the dark spots. One to two weeks following the treatment your skin will appear more vibrant and feel smoother.
How long will the treatment last ?
The spots that are treated will lighten and disappear. New spots may appear that were present underneath the treated area. These spots may also be treated. Using precautions to sun exposure including using spf and wearing a hat will help to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new sun spots.
